Yep, should be good one. Although, Fed shouldn't have problems beating him after all experiences he had in Halle.

And yeah, I'm a huge admirer of single handed bamf backhands  :cool:

next up : raonic vs Federer...Fed has to nuetralize raonic's awesome serve on grass in order to win..it will be tough for rog if the set goes into tie-breaker..

& i sincerely hope tommy beats Berdych..such fine tennis by him in the past few weeks.. :)

I can't believe Rafa is out too. What happened? Didn't see the match, just woke up. Watch Nole, Rafa and Fed losing in R1 at Wimbledon  :scared:

good loss. clay warrior looks quite fatigued.
 
 
its not easy to do what he did during the clay season. he is just 1 man.
 
 
not even 3 players combined could do what he did on clay so dont ger carried away.

That can be happened for top4 lose their 1st round match at Wimbledon.

heh like its that easy with Nadal, Clay warrior should never look at an exit strategy, nor any true athletes  :)~

As I said earlier, I wasn't surprised about this match, as I know Kohli's game. And knowing how much he enjoys Halle, he was the favorite in my eyes. It wasn't the first time that Kohli gave him good fight.

But simply, court conditions and Kohli's determination were too much for Nadal.

kohli played great. no question about it.
 
but nadal was going to go out today or tomorrow.
 
he probably decided on doing it today since he also has a doubles match coming up shortly.
 
it is not rocket science. the guy is clearly worn out mentally and physically.
 
he is not a machine. no 3 other players combined could have pulled off what he pulled off during the clay season.
 
this is something people are not able to figure out. he has a very demanding style of play so do what he did during the clay season is nothing short of ridiculous.
 
finally clay to slick grass is the hardest adjustment in tennis for a heavy topspin player.
 
he could have tried harder but there was no need. the risk for injury was too high considering how fatigued he is right now.
 
i am glad as hell he lost. now i will be even happier if he loses in doubles.

I know he's not machine, but you clearly can't be sure that his only option in his mind is to go out today or tomorrow.

He is one of the best athletes in the world, and if you say that he can't deal with it physically and mentally at this age, what would you say about Tommy back in 2009? Who had tremendous run at RG losing to Fed in 1/16, won Halle and then lost to Fed in semis at Wimbly being 32 years old.....

haas is an amzing player. glad to see him back out there doing his thing.
 
 
anyway this milos shot selection is suspect. he goes for too much at times for one thing.

Rafa fans who are saying they are glad he's out - uhmmm...just remember that Rafa has not won a tournament outside of clay for over a year. Seems like any tournament win for him (not on clay) would be good for his confidence. Just saying.

On Roger's match - I hate players line Raonic, Ivo, etc. I just hope Roger can find a way to win. He always seem to lose the first set when he pays Raonic.

Like Lugburz said...and win is a win.  Players like Raonic are very hard to win against because of that serve - and the grass helps.  So I'm just glad Roger got through this win!  On to the next round!!!!

CD - remember that Raonic had taken the first set off Roger in Indian Wells & Madrid. This is hardly surprising. Raonic is a beast early in matches.

Yeah, you guys really like every single win by your players to put into tiny details  :)~
Oh I wish I can do that, as victories in my case are a bit rarity.  ..-)

Ofc sometimes a win is not deserved, or an opponent lost only because so many UE's, but at the and of the day it will be soon forgotten.
Be happy that 'your guy' won, and praise good stuff from the match  ;-()
