I got to see the final last night.
Tommy played well for most of the match, he was certainly smoking that beautiful 1HBH!
Fed was off his game and Haas made the most of it.

Yep precisely. Tommy was more determined to win this one.
When things go down on fast court, its difficult to bounce back, which its not the case on other surfaces.

Roger started match perfectly, and I thought oh boy this will be hard. But as soon as Tommy got that break back, it all started to flourish  :)

Yeah, after Tommy broke he seemed to gain confidence and Fed's interest seemed to wane significantly.  The intensity just wasn't there and I was a bit surprised.  After the recent discussions re: tanking, I wondered how hard it must be for the top players who consistently go deep to play hard for 11 months out of the year.  Not many pro sports with a season like that.

Agreed, but imo they should consider themselves lucky not getting injured. I think fatigue is smth every athlete in the world should deal with easily. God I'd love to see Tommy having that tight schedule.

But even NBA looks like circus most of the time, gotta give those players credit. Constantly on the move every 2nd day. Must be also exhausting.

I still think Nadal will win because of the grass surface. I truly believe that the variation in tennis surfaces is a big factor in the UK finals.
