I am surprised how easily Ferrer won against Del po.

Does Del Po has any kind of injury?

Federer v Youzhny:

So easy for Federer so far...he's not earning his keep.

youzhny is utterly useless.......this is why the 2004 - 2006 generation was not at all appreciated by non-fed fans.......

Soooo...who said the 'era' was weak from 2004-2006?  Ummm...take the top 2 players out of the mix today and what do you have?  The top player from the 2004-2006 era! :rofl_2:  AND...look at all the players still playing from "Roger's" era! :rofl_2:  I'm pulling for all these older players!  Glad they are doing good.

Ferrer is like the Rodney Dangerfield of our sport.  He 'gets no respect'.  Yet he just keeps rolling along, beating the players ranked below him.  Good for him.

So many people had hopes of Del Potro.  Honestly, he had that ONE slam and played out of his mind to win that.  Then the injuries came and he hasn't been the same.  Tsonga is up and down all the time - still searching for that big win.  Murray - for all he's won - still has yet to win a 'set' in a grand slam final.  So I'm not putting faith in him yet.  He can play great one match, and then another match his back, leg, feet, side, knee, jaw, hair, etc. hurts.  I don't get him.  But, as you've said - this seems to be his best chance to at least GET to a Wimbledon final.  But we will see.

one tournament does not prove anything........they were all pretty useless back in the day and continue to be useless........the winner of this tournament will still be the one from 2007 - present.......

ferrer gets just about the right amount of respect for his ability to get to the second week and get squashed by a top player.......at least del potro, berdych and tsonga have proved that they can beat the big guns........

Someone continue being mad because of someone is out.
Well, it is just like some fantards try to degrade other fantards' favourite player. It is so normal and natural for fantards.

How many of the 86-87 generation made the ATP compared to the 80-82? Very few and I doubt Nadal & Nole will be even playing at 30...

This grass is quite suit for Ferrer's groundstroke. But the problem for me to Murray is he doesn't use his big backhand. I don't know he continue slicing.....

Andy Murray should go bigger shot, but instead we see he continues slicing tennis ball and playing safe shots.
I see some sort of similar pattern like 2009 semi-final. Every set he lose is close set....

Commentators agree.
Murray must play aggressively to win.
Create, build, and maintain pressure through solid aggressive play.

Another very impressive display from Djokovic. Mayer didn't play badly but he was the witness of some fantastic returning that has won Nole so many matches and slams over the past few years. I think he's looking unstoppable and although Federer got through more comfortably than I thought against Youzhny, I really can't see him troubling Djoko.

As for the Murray vs Ferrer match. It's been an enjoyable battle between two great athletes and returners of the game. Credit to Murray for fighting back from 5-2 down in the first set, but Ferrer held his nerve in the tie break to win the set. I hope we see a four/five set  match but I fear another three set demolition for Murray here.
"Sometimes it feels like you're not on a tennis court, the amount of noise you guys produce and for us it's a great feeling. It's a pleasure playing in front of you. It's my great privilege to be standing here in front of one of the greatest players ever, Rod Laver. "

Also give credit for Ferrer, he is consistent and play big shots all the time.
