Ferrer is indeed "The Wall".

Andy Murray should go bigger shot, but instead we see he continues slicing tennis ball and playing safe shots.
I see some sort of similar pattern like 2009 semi-final. Every set he lose is close set....

Commentators agree.
Murray must play aggressively to win.
Create, build, and maintain pressure through solid aggressive play.

Also give credit for Ferrer, he is consistent and play big shots all the time.

But even Murray goes for bigger shot, he end to errors. He hasn't make right shot at right time. His forehand is really a disaster for him so far.

He is in trouble now, Ferrer leads 7-6 5-4 with a break in 2nd set.

Well he puches his limit to hit every shot. For me, they are big shots.

murray wins the second set from being 2-5 down in the tiebreak........he did not yell, swear at his camp, just kept his head down and stuck to the job........well done.......

What strikes me most about watching him play is his balance and movement!  Scary good!

I know we SFs are coming up, but after watching several matches this year, is Wimbledon grass playing extremely lower than past years (and I am not talking before 2000)?? or is it just me?? Was watching Feds match, then Nole's match and now Ferrer's match and I see it extremely slow!! Maybe it's just me? Anyway, I just miss SOOOO much regular grass.. winners on every end and short rallies ending up at the net 99% of the times...

Come on andyyyy. amazing with the serve in hard situations. The forehand in the first 2 sets was awful, the slice sometimes was too high. The backhand amazing in all the match.

This 2 semis are going to be so so good. Must watch the 2 matches

If federer wins wimbledon the ranking will be :

1-Federer 11.075

Murray to beat Tsonga in four sets.

I can't see in the future so no predictions from me.  HOWEVER, I am pulling for Roger 100%!!!! Go Roger!  I see no one thinks Roger can beat Novak.  Well - No one thought Rosol would be Rafa either...so you never know what the future holds!

My predictions.

Murray to beat Tsonga in four sets.

Djokovic to beat Federer in three.

Djokovic to win in four against Murray in the final.

I could have seen in your predictions Djokovic to beat Fed, but to do it in straight sets? Not gonna happen.. not a good prediction TBH.

I find it hugely impressive that Federer has the opportunity to overtake the No. 1 position from Djokovic.
Especially considering that Nadal and Djokovic have dominated the slams the past two years.

At almost 31 years of age this is THE opportunity to add another slam to his collection, plus break one of the greatest records in tennis.

I thus think that this match must mean a lot for Federer. Hopefully, the extra pressure will translate into a superb serve and forehand on friday. Their last match at RG was a bit of a disappointment for me as Federer performed subpar.

i think of the two players ( rog & nole), Novak has been the more better player at wimby this year..his movement is good & his shots are sharp & almost accurate.
i really hope Roger gets this one

I watched the Ferrer v. Murray match last night and had to laugh at the number of rallies that went 12 shots or more.  That's not grass.  Ball sits up nicely, lots of solid hitting, obviously plays slower.    Heck, even Nole slides on grass.  Couldn't do that back in the day on the 'real grass'.

I thought 2 of the keys to the match were his serving and keeping his nerve under pressure.  Nicely done!

Most impressive indeed Baz.
He continues to position himself to win tourneys even at this age as others are waning he has a chance to regain the #1 ranking.  No small feat.

For some reason, I'm still not a fan of the guy, though his tennis is fun to watch.
