lendl has been a calming influence on murray and there is that undercurrent confidence in his on-court demeanor since that semifinal against djokovic in australian open this year........

those who are expecting a straight forward affair for federer are in for a surprise this time........once murray wins a set, he will start believing and that is going to make the difference.......

Murray has to be nervous some, but I think he will settle in. Wondering about Fed too, a lot riding on this, but he has the experience. The start could be interesting. Fed could run away with the first set if Murray is tentative at all. It should help him tremendously that he has been in slam finals before, it should pay off huge for him today!

Well, the worst thing Fed could have done to let Murray settle in has been done. Way too many errors already and down a break, not even on the board. If he keeps this up we will be done in about 50 minutes.

Only 3 games in but I've only seen Andy go for his shots like this once. Unfortunately, we can't learn anything from that because Rafa retired in that AO semifinal.

My prediction is, Murray punches himself out like a prize fighter because he's not used to playing like this and wilts away.

Well Murray is making Fed's service games tough. He seems to be reading the Fed serve really well. Less cheap points for Fed is not good for Fed. Back on serve though.

I'm with Babs here. I like the way Murray is playing and am pretty impressed. He's been taking backhands early and even *gasp* forehands nicely. I like this. But I don't know if he can keep it up the whole way. He is playing RF after-all who is seemingly just trying to work himself into the match. Nothing like the Djoko match.
