that's utterly idiotic from the organizers.......if the forecast is unclear, they could easily wait for another 1 hour and continue outdoors........if it still rains, then there's some meaning in shutting the roof........grandslams are outdoor affairs and they should be completed outdoors as much as possible........

Everything else is so-so, not enough to beat Murray the way he is playing.

I agree, the fact is both players play well in 1st 2 sets. And Murray is super!

That only apply if the tournament didnot had any roof. At least you cannot say the tournament favoured Andy Murray though he is British and deliberately didnot want to close the roofs though the rain is pouring hard. (Because it maybe favoured Federer a little)

The tournament already had rules. If the forecasting the weather that they only had small rain , they will wait and not closed the roof. But if the weather is uncertain and rain is pouring hard, they had to close the roof.

They said rain is expected all day but in patches, they didn't want to keep suspending the match.

They said rain is expected all day but in patches, they didn't want to keep suspending the match.

a couple of suspensions first and then the roof should come into play........until then they must carry outdoors unless its a huge 3 hour pour down........

the purpose and essence of conducting a grandslam is lost if it is finished indoors like a table tennis game without bothering to put in efforts to finish it outdoors........

we wouldn't have had the greatest wimbledon final in 2008 if they had the roof shut........nadal would have swept away that third set........

god knows I don't like defensive tennis, but if Murray had been playing like this he could have made my top 20 list .

The roof closing helps BOTH players. Murray is servicing big under the roof do stop complaining and just key the Ben play. I feel bad for those folks on the hill in that heavy rain!

better player on the day clearly being robbed by the idiotic organizers and the swiss woman's luck knows no bounds........


grandslams are outdoor events and there must be every bit of effort to finish it outdoors........

this is a grandslam final ffs and no grandslam final was ever conducted indoors if my memory serves me right........

boris becker would have had 8 wimbledons had there been roof for wimbledon during his day and they shut it even when it din't rain.......
