Feel so sad about Venus

sorry guys, opening a new thread ... but I just watched her press conference. what a lovely woman. so humble, so modest, still positive ... we can learn so much from her.

It was so painful to watch the match. Venus, a living legend, being a shadow of her old self. she tried so hard to get back after she was diagnosed with that horrible desease .... but I was devastated that a great girl who won Wimbledon 5 times was out in R1. I'm wondering if this is her last W.

I saw that too.  She said she was "tough" but I did feel sad for her.  She would be a great "addition" to the tennis broadcast crew when she retires.  Or ...maybe she could be the head of the WTA!  Everything is possible with Venus!!!!

Venus is so classy unlike these screaming blonds from Eastern Europe (sorry Masha, still love you  :)).

didn't expect to win Wimbledon but, didn't expect her to lose in R1 either..i was hoping that she reaches atleast QF..
i really really hope she wins the Doubles title with serena. :)

She's a peach for sure.
Tennis is not here entire life, so I doubt she is 'crushed' by the loss.

She has been awesome all her life. It was really touching press conference.
