Here's the 'real' reason Rafa is out of the Olympics....who would want to wear these?

:rofl_2: Looks like the uniform of a fast food chain.

so if that is correct,  we have the clay warrior, d-pot (del potro), and berydych with knee issues.
the sport is too demanding today. they need to shorten the season and also get rid of a couple of masters level hard court events.
Ayuh, shorten it to 7 or 8 months and then let the players do exo's in their spare time if they want.

tennis is the only sport where the season never ends. now add to the fact that there is no such thing as a time limit in a match. it go on for 6 hours or 11 hours like that mahut vs isner match at wimbledon.
and the sport is more demanding than ever before at anytime in the past.

This is the best for Nadal, he needs to rest the knees and recover from his typically heavy early year schedule.

The tour is long however and a benefit to those who schedule wisely and have endurance for the whole tennis season.

so, he is not playing in Toronto ... too bad  :( ... not sure if Cinci is a right tournament to come back (he doesn't have any other choices tho), but he needs some sort of preparation before the USO ...

he deserves to miss out not just toronto but cincinnatti too........nobody threatened him with a knife behind his back to play every event madly and injure himself in the process........he just destroyed his own mid season and donated what would have been his history to others........

he hasn't won a tournament outside clay for absolutely ages, even without this injury the stats outside clay were against him,  with it he's not a serous contender for the US open.

ouch, I just found out (on MTF). Rafa is out of Cinci too. He posted on his FB saying 'I'm still not ready'. this doesn't look good  at all.

Rafa Nadal ‏@RafaelNadal
I won't be playing at Cincinnati Open. I am still not ready to play. I have unforgettable moments in 2008. I am continuing with my recup.

Hope he gets well soon.
