swish his fitness sucks for a 23 year old........it's just too bad that a player with that kind of destructive game can't go strong for 4 hours........i also don't think his forehand is really back to what it was in 2009........

Yes, I saw him slowing down some and knew he was running on fumes.
He needs to be in top shape for however long it takes, he can do it but there's no shortcuts.
 
This has been one of my major complaints for a long time now.
 
But he's looking better on grass than he used to.

If he can pick up this type of form of serving, it will help him to save energy in many matches. It has to be one of solutions.

swish i think del potro's forehand is still not at his 2009 level.......not just the power but consistency too is not what it used to be........do you see any hesitation in his forehand swing post-injury? in 2009 he really used to give it a thump with a lot of wrist and power but now it looks like a carefully measured swing with not much wrist and more of the arm.......

You may be right. I've just been watching the streams, they're not good to see clearly.
 
But back in 2009 DP was really hitting the ball. He also strings at a high 70 lbs. That makes the ball slower but more control, don't know if he strung that high before though.
 
I'll be able to tell better when the hard court season comes.
 
One thing I noticed is that he's moving better, earlier this year he was sluggish.
