As with every Olympics, the swimming has been nothing short of amazing. These athletes really get pumped for the Games. WR count is high per usual.

Clue: they believe it's rating was influenced by the movie "Hunger Games."

A majority of the athlete do not make any money unless they win the "Gold" medal.  I not talking about the pro basketball players nor the tour pro tennis players.  I talking about those amateurs in sports like shot putting, badminton, gymnastics, etc....  So I can see how the press would be extreme for those who are not in a "pro" type activity.

This cycling is really weird. Some old man on an odd fangled white bicycle-moped hybrid contraption takes them around and around the track at a snails pace...and those are considered laps!

Trust the Brisitsh to pull a fast one on the unsuspecting nations of the world!! There is merit to Cycling and I appreciate the efforts of Bradley Wiggins, but this NASCAR-style, velodrome theatrical is beyond me..

Cycling is as much about tech as it is the riders it seems and GB have a insane setup, Rowers were amazing also, joint most golds with our previous best performance in 1908  :)


100m final is 2150 GMT and the semis are at 1945 GMT

finally first gold for Canada.

Canada's Rosannagh MacLennan won the nation's first gold medal at the London Olympics on Saturday, finishing first in women's trampoline. I had no clue that trampoline is even a sport  :)).
