by the way, your roger is unbelievable, i read on tv durng my trip that he won 6:0 against Nole in cincy. he may win the us open too.

Good to see you back Mimi. Hope you had a good time.
Later when you get back into your schedule you can tell us what you did.

Fed wrapped up his game against Donald.
Young looks like he can improve quite a bit, just needs some hard work and a few good wins to get on track.

The rain should be there Hercules by 5-6 hours. Don't forget to close the windows. Haha.

thanks folks. i will try to stay safe.

i am leaving for baton rouge in the morning. been watching the news.

it may even weaken. the dry air has waged a war against this storm and is keeping it from intensifying.

and to hell with mtf mimi. their loss is our gain here.

people are wonderful here. general swish  and finishingmove told blind hate infested rats at mtf that they did know what they were doing but they did not listen.

they had some sort of blind personal vendetta against me. swish told those idiots that i was not the kind of guy who went around attacking and insulting people. and that i produced threads that would never end at their main page.

it is because i was able to bring people together. you cant do that if  you are attacking them.

their admin loser scoobs lied to the people there.

Nat - Roger did what he needed to do against Donna.
Then we will fight in the shade.

hola the great archer warrior princess arkulari. folks please say hello to her if you have not had a chance to meet her yet.

too many unforced errors natalia but like you said, not too shabby for the first match.

he should clean up the errors as the tournament wears on.

also none of the extra gears were needed tonight anyway.

arkulari the 2 big stats for fed are always these 2:

1. % of the points when on the first serve

2. % of the points won on the 2nd serve

this invariably tends to keep the opposition under pressure on their own serve. and it allows fed to take some chances on returns.

Alex, Herc, Swish and everyone else  :lmao:

Roger usually starts slow in tournaments and gets more confident as matches go by, this match wasn't really good  but it wasn't really bad either, he was trying a lot of tactics with Young and the result was NID.

Thanks for posting the stats Arkulari.

Fed just wanted to get his game on track, he didn't try to do too much.
He got some work in, had a chance to see how the courts played and should improve as matches go by.

Yes, this was more about trying how shots would feel in the court than anything else, Roger knew Young didn't have what it takes to beat him so he could just clown around a bit, seeing with how much he could get away with.

Monster match of the first round on Wednesday: Del Potro vs Nalbandian. Those two are gonna kill each other on court  :lmao:

fed won 83% of the points on his first serve and 63% of the points on the 2nd serve.

and all that while never needing to get out of the 2nd gear. not too shabby when you have 7 gears.

nalby vs d-pot should be a blockbuster match. i want to see that one.

arkulari we have less than 150 posts to go here now before we fire away with a new volume.

we will have another castle going here except we will do a new volume every 2000 posts. general masterclass will fire off the next volume which he will call volume #2.

we will change title to "ye olde castle" and still have this sports bar at the castle to enjoy and share stories about the sports we all love.

opening page will look the same as the page at your castle at mtf except we will not have all the castles. i think some people have left forever there. i dont even think they are even around anymore.

but those of us who are around, we will have our castles here. and we will leave out all that info about contests and stuff.

you will move up with your castle to be right alongside javi, masterclass, jason, and me. so in other words, our 5 castles will be the first ones on the opening page. and then we will add as people request over time.
as a matter of fact, we need to do that at the castle at mtf as well. our 5 castles need to show first.

we are the only ones ones left from the original warriors of the castle.

brad gilbert said today that fed is the youngest 31 year old he has ever seen.

gilbert is right. fed is younger, more physically fit, and stronger than many of the touring pros 1/2 his age.

swish thanks for posting the order of play.
