MASTERCLASS - I hadn't seen the Djokovic clip before, so thanks. He handles himself very well in interview, and, as expected, looks un-phased about coming away from the OG without a medal. The transition from grass to hard courts will of course be a factor, but one that all who played the grass court season / the OG's will have to make. In this regard, it is a level playing field, and I'm not quite sure why he takes the trouble to point that out. I doubt if Nadal / Federer pulled out due to the transition - Nadal is injured & Federer is knackered.
He gets Tomic as his first match, for whom the HC's are the best surface. I expect Djokovic to come through but Tomic could be tricky.
As for the rest, I see that the Haas/Nalbandian match was closely contested & went to 3 sets. I am a DN fan, so feel sad for him when he goes out early all too often these days. He can still play beautiful tennis, but fitness is clearly an issue. It is nice to see Haas playing well this season. He seems to be enjoying his tennis again & it shows. His match against Simon should be interesting.
Thereare some quite promising matches coming up. Hopefully lots of good tennis. I'm keeping an eye on Cilic / Baghdatis; Benneteau / Berdych; Del Potro / Stepanek.
Assuming that Murray will get past Cipolla, the Raonic / Murray match looks the most interesting.
