I'm looking forward to some good tennis in this final.  Gasquet has the advantage of having had longer to rest, and Djokovic has the advantage of being Djokovic!
Hats off to the RC organisers & players  for getting through a difficult tournament.

The Bryans are giving Granollers / Lopez a spanking1  6 -1 in the first set.

EDIT:  I see it went to 3 sets & well contested in the 3rd set, the Bryans magaing to get the win.

Djokovic giving a masterclass here. Quite superb. Pinning RG far behind the baseline.
This could be over very soon - Djokovic  6-3, 2-0.

And Djokovic takes the title, 6-2 in the second set.  Poor RG was completely outplayed.

Congratulations to Djokovic for defending his title & to RG to get to the final.

congrats to nole for his 12th masters title.

He has just crossed Sampras and is now 4th on the list of most ATP Masters 1000 titles, behind Nadal (21), Federer (20) and Agassi (17).

P.S - Lendl won 22, but in his era they were called "Championship Series" titles, not "ATP Masters 1000".

Wikipedia:

In tennis, the Championship Masters Series is a term applied to series of tennis tournaments that are ranked below the four Majors and Year-End Championships. Nonetheless, they are the most prestigious tournaments on the ATP World Tour. The circuit began in 1970, two years after the Open Era when tennis became professional, and is still running as of 2011. It has undergone several name changes and slight alterations to the format, in line with overhauls of the sport by the Association of Tennis Professionals.

From 1970 until 1993 they were called the Grand Prix Championship Series. Then until 1999 they were held under the name Mercedes-Benz Super 9. The name Tennis Masters started in 2000: until 2004 the Tennis Masters Series, from 2005 until 2008 the ATP Masters Series, and since then they have been held under the name ATP World Tour Masters 1000.

Here is a list of the players with the maximum Championship Series/Masters titles of all time:

1    Ivan Lendl - 22
2    Rafael Nadal - 21
3    Roger Federer - 20
4    John McEnroe - 19
5    Jimmy Connors - 18
6    Andre Agassi - 17
7    Bjrn Borg - 15
8    Boris Becker - 13
9    Novak Djokovic   - 12
10    Pete Sampras - 11
11    Rod Laver - 9
12    Stefan Edberg - 8
=    Thomas Muster - 8
=    Mats Wilander - 8
=    Andy Murray - 8
16    Michael Chang - 7
17    Ilie Năstase - 6
18    Guillermo Vilas - 5
=    Jim Courier - 5
=    Marcelo Ros - 5
=    Gustavo Kuerten - 5
=    Marat Safin - 5
=    Andy Roddick - 5
24    Stan Smith - 4
=    Andriy Medvedev - 4
=    Juan Carlos Ferrero - 4

it's hard to believe that after murray we have to head back to times as ancient as the dark era to find a player with 4 or more masters titles........it's a pity in a way how much tennis has changed over the last 10 years........
