Andy Murray will be returning to defend the Shanghai Masters title he won last year, beating David Ferrer in straight sets in the final.
Murray capped an incredible run of form on the three week Asian swing with a dominant victory in the penultimate Masters 1000 event of the year. Having already won titles in Bangkok and Tokyo, the British player was in inspired form as he claimed his eighth Masters title with wins over Ferrer and Kei Nishikori.
Murray has a fantastic record in Shanghai, also winning the event back in 2010 with a demolition of Roger Federer in the final and he'll be going for a hat-trick of titles this year. Murray is one of the best indoor players in the world due to his returning ability. Good returns are even more important on the indoor circuit where the lightning fast courts make breaks few and far between
