Tomic's serve is still mystery for me. Is he going to get bigger serve?
That would seem to be contrary to his style of play which I see as a crafty, conservative, all-court player.
I agree about this. He doesn't need to have a huge serve, just an accurate one.
I'm not saying I like the guy but I am newly converted to the opinion that he has immense talent and that we will be seeing a lot more of him on the tour.
I went to the first two singles matches on Center Court today. They were both very entertaining. Del Potro may not be at full strength yet but he is playing a very good game. His serving looked fine to me; so much for the left hand problem yesterday which I would expect would affect the toss. His wingspan makes him hard to pass. Chardy was never really competitive but played a good match. Same for Cilic. It was a also good game to watch. Nole is in fine form but not, I think, at the Federer level.
Although it is a beautiful day, I needed to get out of the sun and came back to the motel. I'll go back tonight for Federer - Fish. Should be a good one!
