I'm looking forward to the USO. America fasinates me. The patriotism is fantastic. The guns. Obesitas. Tornados. The Mormons. Death Valley. Hollywood. Microsoft. Streetview. Seasick Steve. Pistol Pete. Yuma.

Late bumping in from me. I know I won't be catching a single match at the USO this year unfortunately  :( I shall depend entirely on this place to get the scores.

I did not realize they were up to 1.9 million in prize money for the winner.  Nice!
Good Luck on the Court!!!

If it's on espn then they have replays of the matches, most of good ones anyway.

Maybe you could catch a few that way.

Doesn't the US Open have a live feed of like 6 courts at once?  I thought they did last year?

US open : the most energetic slam..
pity i have to wake up i n the middle of the night to watch certain matches..:(:(

Well, i think most would agree that we have at least 2 of our 4 Semifinalists already( maybe 3, but this can be more confirmed on  thursday night, after the draw is released )..

who do you think has the best chance of reaching SF ??

i haven't seen much from Ferrer post RG..hopefully he gets his form back..
I was thinking Delpo, but with the recent wrist injury scare, i m concerned..
Tsonga is the best bet as of now..no injuries, just lack of form, but who knows ?? with winston salem going on, maybe he can change his luck !
Berdych...strings of unexpected losses..i don't even know how he's in top 10..kick him in the arse.. :rofl_2:

Isner can make it..hopefully with a Consistent performance in the previous rounds..
Raonic has a outside chance, but when u see his last few performances, u can't hav much confidence in him..
Tommy haas/Mardy Fish could make it to QF..but to SF ???

? :)

Have a great time Babblelot!

The prize money is certainly worth competing for. One sometimes forgets that these players are earning a living here & not just passing the time of day.  Could someone enlighten me, in all seriousness, why the women receive the same prize money as the men?     :)

As for the tournament, will anyone break the tedious stanglehold of the top players & infuse new blood into proceedings?  Probably not, but the resurgence of Rosol ( if he is here) or someone similar, would be most welcome!  One lives in hope.

Needless to say, there will be the usual smorgersbord of pithy debate on the "donations" and "weak era" theories, sprinkled with the lament that there is no one to "defend" tennis from the "others" !!  :rofl_2:    And no doubt also, the lamentation over "cakewalk" draws.  Oh! the trials of life!!

It will be interesting to see where Murray is in his quest for a GS title.   This is what interests me the most in this years USO, and I'm looking forward to see how he does here.  I'm expecting good things.

Hi Dallas, why do we need yet another US Open thread?

Isn't this one that's been out there good enough - 2012 (Men) US Open - 8/27 - 9/9: The City That Never Sleeps Discussion  - http://www.tennis4you.com/forum/index.php?topic=16862.0?

I thought it might have been changed to a sticky by now ;)

Respectfully,
