Just as things get to the business end of proceedings, I couldn't find time to watch any tennis at all today.

First things first - to Dallas & all Federer fans, I'm sorry to see the Maestro outplayed and beaten here. He rallied in the 3rd set, but it was clear from the outset that he wasn't in best fettle. Add to that the quite Excellent effort by Berdych & the result speaks for itself. I hope Federer isn't too disappointed, as he has had an excellent few months, and even he can't keep going indefinitely. Not any more.

Congratulations to Berdych. He has often been accused of being inconsistent and a bit of a choker, but he held firm & made / took his chances against Federer very well. If he remains focused he could oust Murray, who has played a tad strangely here. It should be a good match.

Just watching Tipsarevic / Ferrer. What a comeback from Ferrer in this final set! Outstanding stuff! This man is just amazing!
