5-5

Ferrer barking at Tipsy.  LOL

:rofl_2:  That's exactly how it sounds!   30-30 on JT's serve.  And he holds. 6-5 JT.

ESPN knows nothing about Tipsy. "No weapons that can hurt you." Dude's got a massive FH.

And they're in a 5th set Tb - the crowd giving them an ovation!

They deserve it too.

Well, these two players gave their all in a superb, entertaining match.  It's always such a shame when one of them has to lose in a high quality match like this. Sorry to Tipsarevic.

But Ferrer is just a hero. To come back being so far down, never losing belief & then to play to the wire.  Very well done.  He is such a nice bloke too.

And next for the piece de resistance. Djokovic / Del Potro.

The score looked lopsided, but he was only down a break.

Had he been playing for Chelsea he probably would have thrown it too!   :rofl_2:  Just pulling your leg, Lugburz.

Babblelot    - You're right. It seemed like a big gap, but wasn't.  Except that a break of serve is potentially huge in a final set. DF seemed to go off the boil a touch & JT took the momentum.

nahh I don't think so GBY, if he had been playing for Chelsea FC, he wouldn't have racket in 1st place  :)~

Ferrer has always been touchy about external perturbations. Recall the crying baby incident of a couple of years ago that sent him into a tailspin. I thought that Roddick's grandstanding about the state of the court at the USO last year put Ferrer off sufficiently to lose their match.

For moments I thought it was going to happen  in the late stages today  :scared:; first with Tipsy's mid-game injury timeout and then with the misunderstanding of the chair umpire's "you have one challenge remaining" call. Though it all though, Ferrer is a joy to watch.  :))

He was well in his rights to fire a ball at a crying baby's parents  :))

And before those two incidents, he was going nuts during a change over yelling at his box.
