I enjoyed the Roddick / Del Potro match. One got to see the magnificent game of D-P and the fighting spirit of Roddick, who played well. And what a privilege to see such warmth & top drawer behaviour from D-P. He was a gentleman at the net, and gave the moment up to Roddick to say goodbye, post match.
It was moving to see Roddick say goodbye. A top ten player for years & now on his way to pastures new. Good luck in your future endeavours, Andy.
As for the Murray / Cilic affair - the mind boggles. A classic case of playing to win & then failing at the last hurdle. In the end, closing the deal separates the men from the boys and it is of credit to AM that he has managed to take control of this match & will likely take it in 4 sets, despite not being able to play his best tennis today.
I'm calling it a night. Enjoy the rest of the tennis, everyone.
