Victoria Azarenka I think followed her coaches advice and put the fear into all future opponents that she is number one in the world.  The only player that Azarenka fears is Serena; all others look out!

And when she plays Serena, I pull for Serena.  I'll pull for Victoria when she plays everyone else (...well...except Venus too) ;-()  But I like her game.

My 2 favorite players clash today, I am, hoping for an epic 3 setter!  I doubt we will see it though as Jankovic has not been up to snuff for quite a while.

Jankovic is out, Tennis4you.   3-6,5-7. She couldn't take it to a 3rd set, being outplayed by Radwanska.

Williams and Makarova going with serve in early first set, Williams threatening on EM's serve in the 4th game.

Williams through in straights, 6-0 in the 2nd set. I'd call that "easily!"   Dallas!

Ivanovic is beautiful. That aside, she was helped by Stevens in this match. Having won the first set, SS couldn't sustain her belief / confidence.  I doubt if AI will get much further.

robson looked to me a little nervous in the first set, but WOW what a second set! she really showed some heart and fight to make stosur serve for the match.

it sure looked like petrova was sitting pretty before the rain came, but remember she was up 4-0 in the second set and let it get back to 4-4.  :\ i think sharapova would have won either way, but it would have been more entertaining if not for the rain delay.

Yes, Robson showed guts & played well too. Stosur should have finished it off sooner, but couldn't.

It was too late for me to watch Sharapova / Pertrova, but want to see MS do well here. Glad she's through.

Inanovic too, reaching her first GS QF for 4 years. Good for her.

Bartoli got the win in 3 sets!  I'm not a fan of hers but well done to her for getting through.

Did anyone watch Williams demolish her opponent today? The score is scary!   If she doesn't win the title here I'll eat my hat.  So to speak!  :)
