here is the latest on nadal. justin gimelstob spoke with the spanish davis cup captain this morning.

the verdict is that nadal will decide in the next 2-3 days. evidently he is either not ready or spain does not want to show its hand yet.

i have a feeling that nadal will play.

Well, Fed took care of business.
My god, the top players have a huge chasm between them and the field.

i saw the fed match. who is going to find the stats on that match? lets have a look at them.

i have to tell you this: he is as good as ever if not a little bit better because of his vast experience on the big stage.

i said 6 games. well it was 7 games. he is just warming up.

I sometimes think this Fed is better than in his prime, it's hard to compare as Fed has more tools now and experience.

Roger was faster in his prime and hit his FH better but now his BH is far more consistent and his serve while it isn't the fastest one in the circuit is incredibly effective due to the fact that he can hit it with any effect and to any corner he wants, it's very difficult to read if he's in a good day.

Also, Annacone has sharpened his net game, he came up 47 times in a 3 set match and we all saw what happened in the Wimbledon final, where he managed to win 68% of his net approaches vs a very good passer like Murray.

It's an something you have to get used to, the benefits are tremendous and more good studies are coming out all the time.
