ag radwanska`s beijing adventure is over with as she goes out against li na in straights.

maria sharapova and vika steamroll their opponents and bartoli also advances.

and nole in devastating form again.

Stan is useless in big matches.
Then we will fight in the shade.

his problem is simple:

1. he is inconsistent off the ground and here is why he is inconsistent off the ground:

his single hander is not all that reliable. it looks good at times and he can put some heavy spin on it but he simply cant perform in the clutch.

you cant beat the top players today unless you are rock solid off the gorund. and that invariably means rock solid forehand and rock solid backhand that must be work all the time, let alone in the clutch.

and furthermore, that means that you have to be able to move like a cat.

stan doesnt have the movement.

Fed somehow can beat the top guys with his single-hander.
Then we will fight in the shade.

its clear to me why he does well with his single hander:
1. he has the best serve in the world
2. he has owns one of the greatest forehands ever right along with nadal`s forehand

3. his net game is second to none

4. his movement is among the best

5. back to his backhand: he has too much variety off that wing and his backhand doesnt crumble in the clutch.

translation: rest of fed`s game is so complete that he is able to overcome any weakness off his backhand wing.

all other single handers in the world crumble in the clutch. i dont give a damn how good gasquet`s backhand looks to some people. it is still too inconsistent.
almagro hits a pretty mean single hander backhand also. he is also inconsistent off that wing.

and the rest of his game is not solid enough to overcome any weakness off his backhand wing.

i hear rex ryan is sticking with mark sanchez.

that should get him fired soon. i hope so anyway. he is truly worthless as a coach.

i am actually going to be happy to see the jets get killed in the next 4 games. and that is exactly what is going to happen with sanchez at quarterback.

just got back from my long charity ride.  :))

it was a great ride. i was told we had around 1200 riders this time. not everybody finishes. you have to be really fit to do 150 miles. i have no figures yet as to how much money was raised for multiple sclerosis but i will post those numbers here as soon as they are sent to me.

food was superb after the ride. and you get to catch up with some of your friends.

150 miles in a day is no sweat at all. i may have to attempt a double century one of these days. that is 200 miles in a same day.

how about the bryan brothers? 84 titles and counting.

they have maaged to achieve immortality in doubles. not easy to do considering they were going up against the woodies and so many other amazing doubles teams in history.

they are among the american heroes. congrats to them and their fans.
