Errani beats Serena!!!!

It's gonna happen and I'm going to tell you why right now, so hold on to yourself.  :scared:

Serena is going to look at Sara's serve, step inside the baseline 5-8', and swing as hard as she can. She'll miss more than she makes.

Sara changes speeds, hits a lot of looping topspin, and throws in moonballs all of which will drive Serena nuts. Errors abound.

Key to the match: Sara must hold her nerve when serving for the set/match.

This match up is very similar to Berdych-Federer in that Serena doesn't see a ball like Errani's on tour.

Well they have played 3 times before and Serena has one 3 times (with 2 6-0 sets in there)... :innocent: Just saying.... :whistle:

Her average first serve speed has been 75mph guys. 75!!!! Her HIGHEST in the tournament had been around 91 (somewhere around there).

If Serena is on her game, how will Errani hold with 75mph serves?

I might be wrong and it might be a tough match, but right now I'm not seeing it based on how they both got through their previous rounds.

Of course, Serena could come out flat, hitting balls in the net, making errors, etc., and that's the only way Errani can win. She has to play her best and hope Serena is off - way off.

that would have been a possibility on clay but not on this court........i see serena waiting nicely on each ball and just unloading........winners galore........

It's strange to see Sara try to slug it out on points she has a chance to hit moonballs. 0 moonballs. She hit a bundle against Kerber and it drove Kerber nuts.

She has to get the 1st serve in. 70-75 mph is fine.
