I should have coached up Sara. I didn't understand her gameplan tonight. She played Serena's game. Could have been a little closer. 6-2 6-3.

You have to get to the ball in order to hit moon balls

I like the spirit of the prediction even if it didn't happen.  Upsets are hard to call.

I love Dallas' dismissal of anyone not in the top 3 or a 5+ time G'S winner.  Dallas, what did you think of Fed in 2001?  Lol
Good luck on the court is nice to have, but it's usually extraneous when playing against Baker.

Understood. She got to plenty that she could have changed the pace on but chose to slug away. Some balls she got to she didn't have a choice.

 :rofl_2:

thats smth similar to my reply on: 'who has the best passing shot atm?' -One actually needs to go to the net, for passing shots to exist nowadays...

I thought very early on she monballed a good handful of shots and got punished for them.  Serena was just too good today.  That's some of the best tennis I have seen her play.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

I was following him and he was driving me crazy!!!! But I was still pulling for him. It actually was hard following Roger from 1999-2003. It was heaven after 2003! Lol

this is why i say the difference is not much when knowledgeable people's predictions go wrong sometimes.........i din't see the match but errani probably couldn't get her tactics work and that was the difference.........it was surely a possibility on clay so it's not a bad prediction but a very bold one.........

d pot had that second set and donated it for some reason.........had he not, my prediction would have been right........there was really not much in it.........

Marian Vajda to Novak Djokovic, "I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man KEPT COMING AFTER YOU! Now we don't need no man like that in our lives."

i demand french open to be renamed RAFAEL GARROS

i was there. That place emptied out after the Shrieks vs. Azashriek match. I left after seeing Errani lose the 1st set. Well, more like get blasted away in the 1st set. And it was soooooo humid and hot. Plus, it was getting late and some people had to pick up their kids, etc.

Serena is too good for everyone. Nobody except Venus, and in prime Shrieks, Henin, Clijsters can go toe to toe with her. Maybe Kuzy and Mauresmo if they weren't head cases.

I'm hoping Azarenaka can do damage but it's doubtful.

What a joke. Serena can't put butts in the seats. The place is empty.

I think nobody wanted to buy tickets to an one sided affair!  Tennis fans are knowledgeable about who will be competitive and who will not be.  They were right on with this match!
