Scott - I'm sorry to read that you're unwell, and hope those looking after you do an excellent job. Get well soon.

I was just watching this & thought you might enjoy watching the superb Kuerten.  After Borg, my favourite clay court player.
Here though, he is on indoor HC against Sampras:

My dad had some huge ones around 10 years ago, the docs had to push one of them back with a catheter.  In addition, his kidneys are full of cysts so they couldn't even break them. However, he started to take  a medicine called "Blemaren" and since then he hasn't had any problems with kidney stones.

I would gladly take any medications to not have kidney stones again!!!

Passed 5 while in the hospital!  Going home, glad to be done with round 2!!!

I feel your pain.... Really.
Just went through that myself, for the first ( and hopefully last ) time...
7mm stone in right kidney.
Had the ultrasound procedure to break it up, but then it took about 2 weeks to get all the fragments out, and had intermittent, some times pretty bad pain..
Pain wasn't like anything I experienced before...

Good luck on the court is nice to have, but it's usually extraneous when playing against Baker.

Mtt - sorry the stones found you too, and yeah, it's a new kind of pain.  Sucks!  My first one was like the one you mentioned, went on for a while.  This one was mucho quicker!  Back on the tennis court the next day (to answer e's question).

Freebird and I pulled out a sweet win Sunday night.  We hung tough and stuck it out.  They never had a chance.  ;)
