So there IS life after 30!  Tommy, Stepanek, Roger... all over 30 and still doing well in this tournament.  That's good to see.

Tommy did look great out there.  Hopefully he can continue his great play in his next round - although it's going to be tough.

I think the 'man' to beat here is still Murray since he has a perfect record at this tournament.  Novak is playing really well too.  And I'm happy Roger got by Stan to secure his 300th week.

Tommy was amazing,
but that Tipsarevic is living proof how weak this era is,
outside Top 5 we had major "lack of talent"(Tipsar) or "headcases" (Tsonga,Berdych)

:rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2:  Now this should start some discussions. :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2:  So, according to some... the 'weak' "ERA" started in 2000-2012? :rofl_2:  I thought this was suppose to be one of the strongest eras because when Roger was dominating - some said that was the weakest.  So what gives? :innocent: :rofl_2:  But this discussion is for another thread, I believe. :innocent:

They are both underdogs in there next matches....but hopefully they can win.  (Don't care that much for Stepanek, but I do like Haas)

no weak era started at 2009
you forget that "super era" nonsense started with Nadal & Djoko rise not with Fed's domination

yup, and you are going down  :)~ :rofl_2:. Gosh, if Tommy was playing anybody not called Djokovic I'd cheer for him with all of my heart, but as a Djokotard I just can't help it.

Sorry Lug, Nole too solid. nothing really Tommy could do. I can't believe I woke up so early to watch this match. I expected a closer match tho.

Roger now has 871 match wins - #5 on the all time list, overtaking Agassi (870). The four players above him are McEnroe (875), Vilas (921), Lendl (1071) and Connors (1217).

Thanks for the statistics, Oracle86.    The record set by Connors, Lendl, Vilas & McEnroe is an extraordinary one, and it is remarkable how they are still the men to beat in this regard.

But I'd like to acknowledge the quite incredible achievement of 300 weeks as world number one set by Federer.  The man's game is why I am his fan, but his achievements too are quite superb.   Bravo Maestro, et chappeau! Tres magnifique!

Inevitably, the top three reach the semi-finals.  Some excellent tennis awaits, methinks!

It's going to be a tough one for Roger, but I hope he can come through against Murray.  Murray hasn't lost at this tournament in his history and he's the defending champ....so it's going to be tough for Roger.  BUT.....GO ROGER!!!!!!

Congrats to the Djokovic and Murray fans. They were just too tough today. It should be an interesting final with the 2 hottest players on tour battling it out. Too close to call for me. May the best player tomorrow win!

Congrats to the Federer and Berdych fans for them making it this far.

I'll be rooting for Murray tomorrow because if Nole wins Shanghai, he is virtually assured of year end #1. If he loses, Roger still has a chance. Plus, Murray's game [not his oncourt antics] has always been my second fav of the Top 4.

Novak is assured to overtake #1 one way or another. Nothing Fed can really do. I managed to watch the Djokovic/Berdych match. Nole brain farted a bit but it was never in doubt. hoping for a good match tonight although it's so darn late. I can hardly wait till this Asian thingy is over. I had to watch another live stream yesterday. Stupid TSN was showing the Cilic/Fed match instead of live semis. I'm beyond pissed. I watched the Nole/Berdman but missed the Rog/Murray as it was so early/late and I really wanted to see that match. I tried to record it but they are showing some retarded football on TSN, instead of tennis. just a big stupid mess. grrr, so annoying.  :\ :\
