It's going to be a tough one for Roger, but I hope he can come through against Murray.  Murray hasn't lost at this tournament in his history and he's the defending champ....so it's going to be tough for Roger.  BUT.....GO ROGER!!!!!!
Federer hasn't looked convincing here. Very uneven play, scrappy at times. Nevertheless, I'm sorry he lost.   Well done to Murray for getting through to the final.

I couldn't watch either semi, but will do so. I haven't seen Murray play in Shanghai, but  from I've seen  of Djokovic, & he looks in superb form.  It should be a good final.

The Schedule for tomorrow:

Sunday, 14 October 2012

    Stadium Start 2:00 pm

[4] Leander Paes (IND) /  Radek Stepanek (CZE)   v  [7] Mahesh Bhupathi (IND) / Rohan Bopanna (IND)

Not Before 4:30 PM

[3] Andy Murray (GBR)  v  [2] Novak Djokovic (SRB)

Carpe Diem

I'll be rooting for Murray tomorrow because if Nole wins Shanghai, he is virtually assured of year end #1. If he loses, Roger still has a chance. Plus, Murray's game [not his oncourt antics] has always been my second fav of the Top 4.
Novak is assured to overtake #1 one way or another. Nothing Fed can really do.

Agreed. It's just a matter of time.

Roger now has 871 match wins - #5 on the all time list, overtaking Agassi (870). The four players above him are McEnroe (875), Vilas (921), Lendl (1071) and Connors (1217).

3 games, 2 breaks. Back on serve. This is white hot tennis so far with Djokovic in top form  :lmao: .

Get the feeling that we are firmly into the post-Fedal era now.

It looks like it is going to come down to the number of unforced errors. The winners are a given.

Tennis Channel still living in that past and showing old Roddick matches through the coming week.  :\  :ZZZZZ)

Edit: The breaks keep coming. Murray up 4 -3.

Nole gets the third set at 6-3. Yes indeed, a super match to watch. Many eye-popping points. :yikes:

Congratulations to Djokovic & his fans for this excellent win. To come from being a set down & fighting for the second set TB, then dictating terms in the third set was indicative of his quite superb belief & courage.  Very well done to him.

Murray let himself down. He had several opportunities to close the match & failed to convert them.  In the end, he was simply outplayed.  Defensive play is all very well, but he needs to play to win, a lot more than he does.

Congratulations too to Paes / Stepanek for winning the doubles title.

(4)   L Paes / R Stepanek     defeat    (7)   M Bhupathi / R Bopanna   67(7) 63 10-5

Well done Nole. Such an amazing big match player., especially whenever he is MPs/SPs down.  ;-()

Nole now has won 7 of the Masters, equalling Rafa and Roger. But if you consider only the current Masters tournaments, both of them have won only 6 [ the 7th one is Hamburg].

This is the 13th ATP Masters 1000 title for Nole.

I caught the tail end of the first and part of the 2nd set.
The movement of these two is simply amazing!
Andy (not Roddick) seemed to be serving extremely well and I figured him for the win.  Kudos to Nole for fighting back and taking the prize.

I loved watching Djoker lose the first set and torch his racquet!
Now there's some fire!!! :scared:
CONK da ball!!!

Congrats to all the Novak fans here. I haven't watched the Match yet (have it on tape). Seems like we will have this matchup for any years since they are around the same age.

murray would have won this match in two sets had he not hesitated to move forward and volleyed on at least two of those five lost match points.......

Gosh, it was a crazy match, some unbelivabel shot making from both players. Tennis at it's best. Nole being crazy clutch as usual, just unbelivable. Saved 5 MP. Murray threw everything at him in the second set. still lost. Fantastic match, I'd suggest to everyone who didn't see it to watch it on you tube.  feel bad for Andy who really tried so hard

He' suppose to try  hard.  I don't fee bad.  There had to be a winner and a loser.  He had won this 2 years in a row anyway and he's had a great year so far - winning his first slam... so no...I don't feel bad that he lost this match.  It doesn't hurt his season.
