Technology Lounge #1
« on: October 11, 2012, 01:15:22 AM »
I want this thread to be a place where anyone can discuss technology(not just smartphones or computers). The history, the present and the future. For starters I'd like to highlight the Spinning Jenny:

Which helped kick off the Industrial Revolution in England. From there we got steam engines, locomotives, repeating rifles, the steel industry, the fossil fuels industries, the modern chemical industries, the automobile, airplane, giant ships and computers.

Let's have at it. This is what I'm looking forward to this holiday season:

Don't have a TV.

Guys this is a 4K resolution display. But it will take until 2020 until 4K content is readily available and the internet is completely fiber-optically wired to enabled it for streaming. Also the cost is prohibitive at $20K.

I think it will be a trend because of mobile devices. People prefer the new mobile screen. Ipads everywhere.
