Hi Alex,

Yes, I'm a Rafole fan as I think was evident as I've cheered for Nole ever since Rafa went out of Wimbledon and although I predicted Rafa would turn the H2H around this year, I think Nole is definitely his best competition. I think Rafole finals are the ones that I have really loved the past few years in the Grand Slams as I was happy and praised the Victor in each match. Nole_Fan and I were good friends.

So I am hoping for a Rafole Final at Abu Dhabi and AO 2013 once again. May the last player standing win as in 2012!  :)>>>>

Shankar!  :not worthy: Nice to see you again, General.

Pray for Death indeed! Rafa is back!

This is from ESPN.CO.UK TODAY in their article: "
Nadal: I'll Get Back to My Best on Tour Return"
Quote
"With a week of training, no miracles or timetables," Nadal said, before confirming that his recovery "is following the expected steps. I am working to return to being the same as I was before the injury and am sure that we are going to make it.
"My goal, when I return, is to give it all I've got. If my maximum is enough to be No. 1, then I'm happy, and if it's enough to be No. 8, then I'll be happy also."
Nadal drew parallels between his recovery from a foot injury sustained in 2004 that threatened to end his burgeoning career before it hit the heights of titles at all four grand slams, Olympic gold, the world No. 1 ranking and Davis Cup glory with Spain.
"I came back the same or better, and my goal is to do it again this time," Nadal added.

Masterclass, your analysis of Milos, Jerzy and Kei is right on target. You are an extremely gifted writer and analyst.

affirmative raferminator. general masterclass is the best that has ever been. :))

very few people can come close to his true understanding of the sport.

this is another reason why this is the place to be if people want smart, objective tennis talk. :))

i notice that you know your tennis pretty damn good too.

we all enjoy a spin free, hate free, bulls**t free, blind hate free, mindless insanity free zone here.

its just smart people like yourself, general masterclass, and so many others just talking sports or just having a good time here while relaxing and enjoying a few drinks.

I would believe MasterClass is a journalist, except for the fact that he appears to WAY too talented and his analytical skills are levels beyond what I read in Tennis articles and blogs  :rofl_2: It is bizarre to read his posts that are probably the best analysis I've read for ages and insights I thought I knew but couldn't put into words. Why do we have Wertheims and Bodos when MasterClasss  can actually bring about epiphanies of insight?  :confused1: I guess the publications don't care once the writer has been around for a long time.

Diana (that is her name, correct) better not read this post....or maybe it will get her to act before she loses her precious Nekro? I will do my best to reciprocate so that she comes to her senses then.  :angle-not:

But just wait until Tennis Season and Rafa comes up against "Muger Frauderer". People here are too cool and respectful for me to break out my Tardish best at the moment. But I cannot help myself if one of these matches comes to fruition. Of course Rafole matches have always brought out the best in me.  :innocent:

Diana is too young and innocent and slow for me anyway. She deserves some decent young guy.

Haha, I'm like that too. When someone posted a pic of Fed dug into the sand just the head sticking out, I was thinking of all the stuff one could do to poor "Muger's" head in a situation like that. I wouldn't like to offend any of his fans though. + I like Fed but that pic, omgz, especially with that silly expression on his face :rofl_2: Unlike in the old days, I hardly care anymore about who wins what tourney btw, watch most of the matches with my back to the TV. I'm gonna try to change that next year.

I need someone like BigJane, TripWires, HKz, Honestly/The Magician, or Looner around to provoke me. If Fed fans continue to be so nice and respectful, No fun ranting on nice people even when the Evil one has his face sticking out of the dirt. :Spot on:

Hi again everyone!

We just finished watching and enjoying the "Batman Begins" movie.  Liam Neeson did a great job as usual and gave some extra believability to the plot.

Raferminator and Hercules: thanks for the kind words. It's appreciated, even if it makes me blush a bit ;).  I suppose it helps that I have an extensive background in a variety of subjects and have been playing and observing tennis for more years than I care to admit ;).

I have to say I would enjoy writing tennis articles and earning good money for a big site like espn.com, tennis.com, sportsillustrated.com.  However, I'm not sure how I would go about getting an offer to do so.  I did have a couple of offers from users at MTF in having me contribute articles to their own blogs or small sites, but they couldn't offer or promise much in the way of income.  So for now, if I'm not making anything, I would prefer to contribute and enjoy conversation here among you nice and knowledgeable people. :)

Also, I'm happy these other threads about cricket, football (both types) are being started.  I hope Sir Javier can contribute mightily to the European football thread when he is available.

Respectfully,
masterclass
