that is going to be one hell of a place to discuss football.

we should get quite active by the time australian open starts. people will start getting into the sports mentality then.

many are now focused on the holiday season and the x-mas just ahead.

Hi again everyone!

We just finished watching and enjoying the "Batman Begins" movie.  Liam Neeson did a great job as usual and gave some extra believability to the plot.

Raferminator and Hercules: thanks for the kind words. It's appreciated, even if it makes me blush a bit ;).  I suppose it helps that I have an extensive background in a variety of subjects and have been playing and observing tennis for more years than I care to admit ;).

I have to say I would enjoy writing tennis articles and earning good money for a big site like espn.com, tennis.com, sportsillustrated.com.  However, I'm not sure how I would go about getting an offer to do so.  I did have a couple of offers from users at MTF in having me contribute articles to their own blogs or small sites, but they couldn't offer or promise much in the way of income.  So for now, if I'm not making anything, I would prefer to contribute and enjoy conversation here among you nice and knowledgeable people. :)

Also, I'm happy these other threads about cricket, football (both types) are being started.  I hope Sir Javier can contribute mightily to the European football thread when he is available.

Respectfully,
masterclass

general shanks is probably doing his homework. :))

he said he is planning on founding a cricket lounge here in the next 2-3 days.

i was not aware that american football is gaining a foothold in europe.

anyway playoffs are hurrying near now in the NFL. these are interesting times. maybe we should fire up the NFL lounge in a day or so for those who want to talk some NFL football.

general shanks is going to open up a cricket lounge in a day or so.

that reminds me mimi. i would like to have at least 5 wives when i am ready to get married. :))
more is always better.
a different one for each day and i will give them the weekend off.

now only if i was rich enough to pull that off. and then i would have to be in the right country. i dont think you can get away with that in america.
