PRINT THIS PAGE   BRUSSELS -- Kim Clijsters will play a ceremonial farewell match on Dec. 12 against Venus Williams.

   Clijsters retired from tennis after the U.S. Open in August but announced on her website on Monday that she will face her longtime rival in the Kim's Thank You Games at the Antwerp Sports Palace.

   The 29-year-old Belgian, a four-time Grand Slam winner, initially retired in 2007 only to make a return to the sport two years later. This time, she insists her retirement is for good.

OK, first of all I have to apologize here, a bit of cranky tonight. It looks like Nole is out of Paris too. pissed off. Don't get me wrong but the top divas are doing whatever they want too. I'm sure something is wrong with Rafa, but Nole and Roger ... just big BS. watch them have some break and show up at the WTF like to daisies $:\$ . plus Nole secured his YE#1 so I wouldn't be surprised if he skips the WTF too, or just show up to get some money ...

i think nole is being smart and tactical general alex.

he has the #1 rank in the bag. why bother with the rest of the formalities. this way these points will be there to be had if needs them next year.

this i exactly what one should do. the sport has become quite demanding.

I know Herc. I'm just a selfish fan. really wanted to watch him in Paris. I posted this on MTF too, there shouldn't be any mandatory tournaments. play whatever you feel like playing and see where it takes you.
