2 matches at abu dhabi and 3 matches at doha should be enough to warm up to the AO.......he will also play doubles there........and the first two rounds at AO should get him to decent position as far as match fitness........

My family and I had a horrible stomach virus since the weekend. Thank God we are all over it now.
I felt so bad, I missed the WTF final. 
I hope this weekend is much better. Looking forward to the Davis Cup. I guess given the home court advantage, the Czech team will be favored slightly.

Davis Cup doubles now becomes pretty important. If Spain wins doubles, I think Ferrer will clinch the Cup vs. Berdych. If Czech wins doubles, then I think it will come down to the 5th match.

morning sports fans. i am disappointed in the marc /marcel team. they blew the most important doubles match of their life.
 
on the other side of the ledger, stepanek/verdych doubles team is 12-1 in davis cup.
 
spain cant do it without nadal in the lineup. so nadal--because he could not help himself last year with his hard court activity--has just cost spain a davis cup title.

Yes general. Spain is in trouble.  Ferrer now has to beat Berdych and then hope Almagro can beat Stepanek, or whomever Czech will put up.  If Verdasco is available, I would be tempted to use him.  I think Feliciano Lopez was passed over for some reason, even though he is one of the best fast court players the Spaniards have.

Tough task for Spain, but still they have a chance to prevail. In first match pressure will surely be more on Berdych and Ferrer might exploit that. Beside that Ferrer for me is still favorite in that match, he is kind of player that can drive Berdych mad.

i do believe spain made a mistake. they knew berdych had almagro` number. also given the extensive doubles experience of f lopez/verdasco team, i would have gone with them. perhaps they could have stolen this doubles point.
 
i do like marc and marcel team a lot but these were lightening fast courts. after the czech team got going, spaniards never had a chance. spain strategy did not work out this time.
 
now the confidence and momentum is on the side of the czech team.
