i got my latest issues of time magazine today.

time magazie is calling daniel day lewis th greatest actor of our times.

that is high praise.

Prometheus is supposed to be a prequel of "Alien" the classic movie from 1979 by Ridley Scott. Honestly not a very good film from a story standpoint. CGi was good.

Yes. "Alien", "Blade Runner", "Aliens", "Black Hawk Down" are his best works.

The greatest movies/my favourites are:

1. Brokeback Mountain
2. Gone with the wind
3. Casablanca/Roman holidays
4. The ten Commandments

And a lot that i cannot think of at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, romantic films are not my favourite, but detective/ghost films. It just happened that my top 5 are all romantic films

Actually I'm a man of all seasons. I like romance, action, westerns, French New Wave, science fiction, biblical epics, historical epics and everything in between. The only I don't like is crap.

my German internet friend sent me some vcd,saying they are from an Italian film director, don't know if its the same one as you. One of the film is something like "mothers of tears". Holy god, brutal, brutal, even me who love to watch horror movies find it very cruel, there is a scene when they chopped off a baby's head .........

It was atypical spy movie with phenomenal Denzel Washington in major role. I highly recommend it. Btw. I will give a chance to "Lincoln" also.
