i took another look at "immortals" recently.

i was disappointed. it was from the producers of "300". they blew this one.

they needed better star power and a better story.

this CD is "action, action, action"  :))

The greatest movies/my favourites are:

1. Brokeback Mountain
2. Gone with the wind
3. Casablanca/Roman holidays
4. The ten Commandments

And a lot that i cannot think of at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, romantic films are not my favourite, but detective/ghost films.  It just happened that my top 5 are all romantic films  :king:

that is a great list mimi. the first one is not my type of movie but all the others are highly acclaimed.

was the first one "brokeback mountain" a big hit at the box office? i dont know all that much about it.

i dont know how many times i have seen the ten commandments.

and i do need to see "gone with the wind".

i haven't seen 'gone with the wind' either........i downloaded it once but never watched it and eventually deleted it as well.......

whenever there is too much talk about any movie, my expectations over that movie increase like crazy and refrain from watching it and instead watch something else.......

i took a quick look at "jonah hex". fairly useless western. a few minutes of it is all i could stand.

i would give the movie a score of 2 on a scale of  1 to 10.

megan fox looks good so that is the only good thing about this movie.

obama had too many dependent fools following him around. democrats have created a dependent society.
it cant last forever. something has to give. especially with an ailing economy.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the big blockbusters. They strike me as silly and pointless.

I agree. Big budget mainstream movies with usually bad and naive plots, good effects and thats all. That is the reason way I am more into independent/ low budget movies recently, that is still what I call "art".

i have to agree with general alex and general brick top.

big blockbusters are a lot of expensive advertising. they get the masses fired up.

they dont do anything for me either.

Okay, so I guess everyone's a general here. What do they do in their spare time? Go around and slash everyone's credit rating? I mean what really makes them "general"?
