hello there princess emma. :))

long time no see.

have you seen any great movies lately? which ones do you recommend?

Hi herc. Long time indeed. How r u?

Have seen quite a few lately actually but I am not sure if we have the same taste in the movies. Check them out anyway and see which ones you’ve seen too.

A Single Man, I am Legend, A Cry In the Dark, North Country, In the Valley of Elah, Afterwards, Sunshine Cleaning, One Week etc.

Have also seen a couple of other really gruesome movies but the names escape me for some strange reason.

In the theatre, I wanted to see Cloud Atlas and Sinister (really a big fan of Ethan Hawke), but haven't found the time yet. No Skyfall for me (though have always been a big Bond fan) because I’ve fallen out of mainstream movies. I'd love to see Life of Pi though.

So you are Princess Emma The Great, I've heard only good about you from General Alex The Merciless..

I am not Princess Emma the Great. I am Queen Emma The Great. Let's get that right for a start. lol

Only good things from General Alex The Merciless? Muhahahahhahah. Let’s get that right too.

Alex is always at my mercy. He only speaks when he is told. He is on his knees when I leave the room. He disappears when I am here because my presence is so intense for him. And yet, he’s grateful that I am around.

Nice to meet you btw.

i am hearing a lot about "life of pi"........so i might check that out pretty soon........i always wonder how you guys watch movies on your PCs or home theaters........i have no patience to sit 2 hours at home for a movie........i often download movies to watch and delete them without even watching........

i also expect a lot of intelligent and impressive stuff in the movie when i go for it and it has to match the hype at any cost........or else i leave the theater in the middle of the movie.......

the first 1 hour of the dark knight rises was somewhat annoying for me and i almost decided to walk out but batman made his appearance just in time.........

Marian Vajda to Novak Djokovic, "I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man KEPT COMING AFTER YOU! Now we don't need no man like that in our lives."

i demand french open to be renamed RAFAEL GARROS

Hi Emma,

I downloaded "I Am Legend" off veehd.com a few days ago when I found that Richard Matheson was the writer of the original book. I am not sure if I should read the novel first or see the movie, but he wrote a ton of great Short Stories that have become GREAT movies including one I would give 10/10 called "The Box". Anyway, I guess this book (I Am Legend) is the book behind "The Omega Man", "night of the Living Dead", and the whole genre of Zomie or Last Man on Earth movies. Let me know how good that movie is and if you have read the book. Thanks!

The book is always going to be better than the movie because the length of the movie can't be too long; therefore, it can't afford to cover everything in the book and sometimes, it tends to leave out the crucial details. If you read the book first, then you will be disappointed with the movie, but then again, the ideal thing to do is to read the book first.

I liked the movie but it didn't live up to my expectations. I thought though that it had great potential but in the end, it sort of fell into the same trend of Hollywood's typical mainstream. Judging by the title, you can always guess the ending and I wish it had offered more. I didn't read the book because I am into non-fiction so I prefer to watch the movis instead that are taken from pure fiction. That saves me the trouble of reading the books that can take up a lot of your time.

You may want to try at least One Week, In The Valley of Elah and Afterwards. They should not disappoint. In fact, all of them are pretty good but those three should be right up your alley. I like any movie as long as it’s made and acted very well. How the story is told is very important.

I am still debating on Skyfall!

Ah...but you left out the for him part. Not saying I am quite intense for everybody but I can be if I want to. I like abusing Alex because he loves it. lol
