(Q) Jerzy Janowicz vs (8)Janko Tipsarevic
(6)Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs (4)David Ferrer
(WC)Michael Llodra vs Sam Querrey

No top 4 player in the QFs. The last time this happened was Cincinnati Masters 2003.

Querrey has been playing very well, he's my bet to win this. The fact that this is the last tournament of the season (except WTF), and is indoor makes all the difference.

Llodra takes out Delpo in straights. It's great to see a guy with that game school today's monster ball bashers and the naysayers.

super event  :) :) :)

fast courts = "equal opportunity" tennis

Llodra pure joy to watch, Querrey was/is very good too......Janowicz pleasant surprise :gleam:

top players were complaining about long season & ATP basically cut them of Paris Masters (and all points, money & title counts that goes with it)
and i must say that i'm loving that  :)>>>>

Llodra was playing like a robot (at least) in the last points of the game against Querrey. Service -> Net (repeat infinite times)

I've no idea who's going to win, but the final will be a great, great surprise. And It's possible to be a final 100% french, and without the best french player. :)~

LOL!

Other than watching Llodra last night, I haven't followed along since the US Open and now there's some dude named Janowicz in the semis of a Masters event. 6'8" ranked #69.

sorry Oricle, getting old here, but who are these people  :rofl_2:

Yeah, it's been a very interesting tournament so far.  ;-() Over the past decade, Paris Masters has mostly been a place for upset victories and surprise champions & finalists, except for a couple of years. So I guess this is just a return to normality for the players.  :rofl_2:

2000    Marat Safin    Mark Philippoussis   3–6, 7–6(9–7), 6–4, 3–6, 7–6(10–8)
2001    Sιbastien Grosjean    Yevgeny Kafelnikov   7–6(7–3), 6–1, 6–7(5–7), 6–4
2002    Marat Safin    Lleyton Hewitt   7–6(7–4), 6–0, 6–4
2003    Tim Henman    Andrei Pavel   6–2, 7–6(8–6), 7–6(7–2)
2004    Marat Safin    Radek Štěpαnek   6–3, 7–6(7–5), 6–3
2005    TomᚠBerdych    Ivan Ljubičić   6–3, 6–4, 3–6, 4–6, 6–4
2006    Nikolay Davydenko    Dominik Hrbatύ   6–1, 6–2, 6–2
2007    David Nalbandian    Rafael Nadal   6–4, 6–0
2008    Jo-Wilfried Tsonga    David Nalbandian   6–3, 4–6, 6–4
2009    Novak Djokovic    Gaλl Monfils   6–2, 5–7, 7–6(7–3)
2010    Robin Sφderling    Gaλl Monfils   6–1, 7–6(7–1)
2011    Roger Federer    Jo-Wilfried Tsonga   6–1, 7–6(7–3)

Is this Ferrer's best chance to win a Masters? I wonder....
