I've watched both Federer & Del Potro in their earlier rounds here. Federer hasn't looked compelling, whereas Del Potro has steadily improved.  I've enjoyed watching Del Potro play.

Despite Federer looking the less settled,  there was only one break of serve in the match in the first set & he took it to a 3rd set TB.

But the moment belongs to Del Potro.  Congratulations to him for his second title win in as many weeks.  He must be feeling confident going into the final 2 weeks of the calendar.  After his injury prone year, I'm pleased to see him getting back into form & competing well.

Del Potro   defeats  Federer   64 67(5) 76(3)
Carpe Diem

Federer has withdrawn from Paris to rest and prepare for London.
