Predictions for 2013

let's wake up this board. What to you think is going to happen in 2013? slam winners? underdogs? youngsters? new faces? rankings?
discuss.

I predict Sampras will come back to dominate the tour in 2013.  But only until July when Agassi decides he want s apiece and then comes back and takes over the #1 ranking.  Maybe I am watching too many of these classic matches on Tennis Channel in the evenings.  Last night was Federer vs Sampras, 2001 Wimbledon.

Sadly I think Federer will get shut out at all slams.  Murray will take 1, Nole will take 2 and someone else will snag their first.  Nadal will end up in a wheel chair by February.

Whatever happens, Scott, a highlight of my year was seeing Nadal win Monte Carlo for the eighth time. Nole might live there, but watching all the local attention that was put on Nadal and his family, he is still the adopted son in that town.

Fed's going to take another one, his level is plenty high enough.
 
Djokovic has chances everywhere.
 
Nadal, we'll see but I'm expecting a strong comeback.
 
JDMP has steadily moved up the ranking and his health has been holding on.

2013 is almost here. i think nole is going to be hard to stop on the hard courts.
we know that he is capable of domination on hard courts.
wimbledon is up in the air.
 
and rg is off limits. :))

If you don't mind, I'll chip in later after I see Mr. Nadal play his first ATP match in 2013.

I expect Murray and Djokovic to be in the hunt for at least 3 of 4 majors. I think we will have a break-through player win his first major.

french open nadal if he's back to normal???
 
wimbledon Murray or Djokovic

Have no idea what will happen in 2013.  I just want to see Federer stay healthy.  At least ONE slam would be great. :innocent:

It looks like Rafa is out of the AO and will start playing at MC at the beginning of clay season. It's not official yet but it's all over the internet.  I still don't understand that it takes long to recover, he is a young man.

Scott, that is about the best quote I have read in a long time :)

Just a few predictions (very speculative of course, we are not even in 2013)
I am looking for Murray and Djokovic to split the Slams if they stay healthy, maybe an outside chance of someone else in the French Open (I don't think Nadal will win it if the rumors are true and he only comes back to competition in the beginning of clay court season).

Federer can win a Slam only if he faces Murray OR Djokovic on the way to the title, and not both.  What happened at Wimbledon 2012 is highly unlikely in my opinion, especially now.

In case of injury to Murray, Djokovic could flirt with the GSlam.

These predictions are pretty good. I am thinking along the same line.

RG looks a bit more open in 2013.
