thanks guys. so rusty was a monster tennis prodigy.

he wasted no time at all in reaching a world #1.

wow. :)
Lleyton was something. He had a heart of a lion. still, he was kinda a transitional #1 between Sampras and Fed eras. Hewitt simply filled the gap. His body simply wasn't able to sustain that level of physical effort. and Hewitt was a hard worker. He trained like crazy. I highly doubt that we'll ever see a 20yo guy reaching #1, at least not any time soon.

rusty had serious wheels on him general alex.

the game moved away from him a little bit. not everybody small can win at the top.

ferru and davydenko were the exceptions but even they could never win anything really big.

Spot on. Now Rusty just wants to compete and as long as he is healthy and  can give a tough time to top players like he did against Djokovic in AO and Olympics he will be around  :)

I see Jerzy doing some damage in 2013.  Among American hopefuls I like Steve Johnson.  He won back-to-back NCAA singles titles and went on a 72 match winning streak to end his collegiate career.  The guy knows how to win!

Im pretty sure for Jerzy and the other guy looks promising. Yanks are really in need of a top player.

Yeah, it's been a sad state of affairs for US mens tennis since Agassi and Pete.  And unfortunately I don't see any Grand Slam quality talent for the foreseeable future.

i would have to agree. Jerzy has great potential. i like his style of play also. he has that attacking style of play.

his serve is as big as it gets.

the problem with janowicz is his serve and low percentage groundgame would be not as effective in outdoor conditions.........
Marian Vajda to Novak Djokovic, "I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man KEPT COMING AFTER YOU! Now we don't need no man like that in our lives."

i demand french open to be renamed RAFAEL GARROS

my only wish for next year is to see Nadal/Fed match at the USO, hoping Rafa trashes Rogi again.  :)). I wouldn't mind if Rafa trashes Fed at RG just for fun  :innocent:

i don't see anybody rising in 2013.........2013 will be all about the return of the spartan and del potro winning his second slam........

it could be fed's last serious(read peak) year on the tour and an average year for djokovic and murray.........
