hi ann darling.......nice to see you here........how have you been?

have you seen the india-england cricket series? india had a tough loss at the hands of england........i blame our captain for it........his defensive field settings has regularly put off our bowlers and annoyed them to the limit........our batsmen din't fare well either........

Hi Shankar.  :kisses: It's very nice to be here and lovely to meet up once again with old friends.  :) Odd couple of ear infections, but nothing serious and I'm very well thanks. I hope the same is true for you.  :)

I watched all of it, and apart from the 1st test England pretty much dominated the series. Must've been such a grave disappointment to see your team subside in the manner they did, and with all manner of unseemly behaviour. Particularly in the way that groundsman was treated because he refused to prepare a wicket which suited India. I have to say, that had Dhoni, with his captaincy record under Duncan Fletcher, been captaining any other test team, then he would've been sidelined a long while since. And it can't even be said that his keeping or  batting have been worth his place in the side. Keeping was average at best and his batting just wasn't there. But as ever, and you would know far more about this than I Shankar, the politics of the situation, and MSD's continuing closeness to Srinivasan will most likely keep him where he is, with Fletcher paying the price.  So many people who need to get their heads out of the sand and face a few home truths...

i remember you had a throat infection and now ear? damn them........i am doing fine, i am not enjoying the winter because it barely feels like winter here.........temperatures are still around 25 - 30 C........i want something like 10 or 15 C.......

you could not have said it better than that about dhoni, BCCI and indian cricket.........they should have got rid of him as soon as he lost the series in england last year........

he is not a great test player and much less a test captain.........test matches are never approached with defensive field settings, and we better not speak about his personal batting performance.........it is horrible........

i never liked fletcher either........that reserved approach from fletcher doesn't go well with the dynamics of indian players........BCCI pushed dravid and laxman out of the team without thinking of their replacements and are paying for it now........

lastly kudos to the english team.........they won a very tough tour after 30 years........alistair cook showed great composure through out........

The next tennis prodigy, Gabby Price(age 9):

Considering Dominika Cibulková(5'3") is top 15 right now it's not inconceivable for a shorty to succeed on the WTA. 5'6" Justine Henin won 7 grand slam titles.

Gosh, CD, that last pic of a frozen lake reminds me so much of Kananaskis (google it if you don't know what it is). A very good friend of mine and I go there to camp. The nature is just freaking unbelievable. just stunning. there are so many lakes, it is untouched by a human hand... Man, I'd rather spend a week there than being in the most expensive hotel in the world. Hoping to go there this summer again. here are some pics

fascinating landscape general.

keep them coming. these are spectacular images. :)

We need to protect those last few freshwater alpine lakes from the evil touch of humans.
