guys i was watching a little bit of the nishikori match. he had a brace around his left knee.

he does have some injury issues that are always hounding him.

i am in agreement with freaky: nishikori is a great talent and can be very good on hard courts when he is 100% healthy.

i am watching houston texans vs cincy bengals right now.

betty are you still around? do you stay up late on weekends?

i guess you know by now that some of us are night owl. nothing like staying up late and relaxing.

Why is it that Nishikori always seems to have an injury?

Do I mind? Of course not. If I'm busy, I'll have someone else help!

Just look at last week: I was on vacation so Brick Top managed for me :))

I really think Dimitrov can beat Murray tomorrow!
Then we will fight in the shade.

Yeah but for now there are only 3 or 4 people playing.
If we grow in this forum you'll have to manage a lot more! But I'm glad that you have a assistant manager!

I also put in my Sydney picks. Hopefully Verdasco can find his 2009 form and do some damage!

nishikori just has bad luck with injuries.

just look at hewitt. he has had his share of them in the last few years. nalFATian also has had his bouts with injuries.

nadal makes his own injuries so i have no sympathy for him.

For Nishikori you won't know how it will be for his career.

I don't share that opinion about Bandy and Hewitt though. Nalbandian never lived entirely for the sport, and talent alone doesn't get you that far. People think Fed also has a lousy work ethic but they are mistaken.

Hewitt could be a top contender during the transition years, and he got there pure by his iron will and dedication. He just doesn't have any real weapons to hurt the top guys with and that's a fact. Yes he has been unlucky with injuries but that guy is a big big overachiever thanks to his won't quit mentality and I respect him for that.

As for Nadal. He just needs to take a look at Fed's scheduling book and maybe then he will be a little wiser. Nadal wanted to go for the history books so he evolved as a player playing on HC (which is bad for his knees). Now he does have 2 HC slams and not the stamp of being only a Claycourt specialist but on the other hand he also has f**ked up knees now.

affirmative generalito. clay warrior does have 2 all important hard court slams. even more importantly he had to beat 2 of the greatest hard court players ever lived. no easy job there generalito.

and he got his 2 wimbledon titles.

he has admired roger all his life but he will not change his training and his scheduling. even after sitting out for 7 months he did not learn. he went right back to the hard courts. the knee did not respond well to the pounding.

and of course he can never get his rhythm off the ground slaving away on the hard courts. its clay. clay is the wellpsring from which he flows.
clay gives him the confidence and the conditioning to do well on other surfaces. all he has to do stay more on clay. more practice and more match play on clay and less activity on hard courts does it for him but he is not going to change.

The people who are claiming that Hewitt did not had any real weapon back in time probably did not watched him at all during his prime days . If  being best counter player  in the game, having best movement, GOAT return, GOAT lob, highly accurate and constant forehand  that will break opponents f**kin ankle toying him around, if now a weapon what that is?! His struggles started with the first hip injury back in 2005 and all went downhill since that he is having injuries regularly so it is unfair to call him an overachiever when actually he could do even more in his career, and surface homogenization just helped it. (Similarity wit Haas there)
Lol even Sampras recently noted how great Ley Ley's lob was and that he is underrated player.

i could not agree more. and the fact that he did it all while being under 6 feet tall is even more amazing.

was he not the youngest world #1 ever? now that is one hell of an achievement in a brutal gladiator sport like tennis.

Yep and youngest ever player to win an ATP title with 16 years old.
Unfortunately he locked the boyhood inside of him and never really grow up.  :)
