generalito how about this pic? is dude floating around on grass or what? :))

Excellent picture generalito.

I do believe Fed has 1 or 2 Wimbledons left in him. At least he is going to make the latter stages a couple of times.
He is just the best on grass these days, even at 31. His movement share equality with those of jungle cats.

On the tennis front.

Big John Isner withdrew from the Australian Open....

He had a bone bruise in his right knee for a month and not getting better.

That puts the Harrison loss in a different perspective.

Then why did he play the Hopman Cup + Sydney and why not take any rest?

So this is the place for straight up no feelings hurt good tennis discussion? Awesome! It's good to have a free zone like this.

Do we have NFL experts in here? I'm nervous.....I'm a big Peyton Manning fan; my dreams are riding with the ponies this Saturday.

I'm only an "expert" on the (european)football, tennis and cycling front.
And of course travelling, partying and hitting on women are my other specialties  :gleam:

Hello General hunting4you, allow me to ask a few questions:

Favorite players?
Favorite surface to watch?
Do you play tennis?
Least favorite players?
Name?

Right to the point!!!

I'll let you take a guess first on fav player and surface to watch......then I'll oblige. Deal?

You like Fed and grass?

You wish??

Nah, I'm a BIG Rafa fan, been following him since he pump fist his first RG title  :))     Enjoy watching Fed when he is on.

Now, although clay court tennis is in my opinion the ultimate surface for display of all skills and extremely rewarding to watch....grass court tennis is the game I enjoy the most .  Of course with the exception of 90s serve and return into the net period.  :)~

I only "play" tennis sporadically; not good with few occasions of luck  ;-()

Least favorite player to watch has to Isner, least favorite player to root for.... the one and only his majesty.

Chris

so I take you are a Roger fan?

I took money home with the Kohli win against Malisse.

Now I need Harrison over Benneteau and Monfils over Haasi.  ://

general huntingyou what is your take on the clay warrior? what is going on with him? some say that he may have lost his competitive fire? what do you think?

Rafa's body is paying the checks. You were always right, after what happened in 2009; he continued to insist playing all mandatory HC tournaments. The knee can only take so much.

As far as competitive fire? I don't think so, the guy is playing for history and he knows his place very well. Having said that, it's likely the believe in himself to make a successful comeback is not there. The field is strong! MC will answer all the questions. We'll see. If he plays IW and Miami......forget about it, stick the fork in him.

I'm expert in basketball and arguing many topics if we can count that.   So I take you belong to the "new" breed" of smart man when it comes to women. Good choice Javier  ://  Western women created the monster.

BTW, naci en Arecibo, Puerto Rico pero vivo ahora en Miami Florida.......mujeres hermosas y sananas. Debes visitar un dia de esto, I'll show you around  :gleam:

i am not very happy with him. he had them install an indoor hard court for him in mallorca a couple of years back just so he could wreck his knee year around.

just take this last experience: he was not able to get on the courts for 6 months and then when he can start hitting the ball a little bit, he went right back to his indoor hard courts.

so there were actual sightings of him sitting right in the middle of the court during practice because the knee was hurting so much. he was seen depressed and he wasseen rubbing his knee countless times. or holding it while sitting down. so he was in clear and obvious pain.

tony did not look very happy either.

so he is just dying to end his damn career.

he should gone straight to clay and at least give the knee a chance to come around slowly. and he needed to find his his ground game.

so now he still has a messed up knee and absolutely no rhythm off the ground.

somebody is going to beat him acapulco. somebody like nico almagro and ferru can easily take him down right now.

he still does not get it. clay is the wellspring from which he flows. it is clay that keeps him healthy and gives the ground game and the confidence to do well on other surfaces.

and if the knee is shot then you minimize match play and practice on hard courts.

1/2 isn't bad :)~

What do you like about Rafa, Chris?

And NOOO! I'm not a Fed fan. My favorite player is Hewitt, and then Haas. After that, nothing. I like having an unbiased opinion. I guessed Fed for you just as a wild guess.

At this point, the only sensible option he had was to start the season in South America, skip IW and Miami and try to get match fitness before RG and SW19. I believe he should play HC GS and one preparation tournament before the slam. The writing is on the wall, the knees says no and this time he has no choice but to listen. Maybe surgery its the only answer. Who knows, the are too wishy washy with information.
