My girlfriend and I just bought tennis rackets and some balls. We have no idea what any of the lines are for or how to keep score. Any lessons or drills I find assume you already know the terminology, what's a good site to teach me the "basics"?

That site's okay...
Seriously though, sign up for lessons with a teaching pro. (Horror story, not to copy) - A friend's friend's dad get a promotion from work, and with the $400 bought 2 new Wilson nCode rackets (the blue n4 that Venus endorses). After weeks of frustration, they both called it quits.

There's a lot to be said for signing up with group classes like those the YMCA and others offer. The attention may not be as personal as getting one's own pro but you do get to meet people and thereby get involved with tennis playing groups. Then through them you meet other players who in turn introduce you to others and before long you have as much tennis as you can handle.

It's long and boring but it explains all.
http://www.tennis4u.com/rules/rules.htm
It is also a big file, could take a bit to load.
