     It seems doing reasonably well on one occasion makes it mandatory to fizzle out the next time!!

Anyway, Paire joins the band of early losers, just to underline my point.  Ferrer looks like the favourite for the title here.

And I was sorry to note that Marray / Sa are out of the doubles.

[Q] I Sijsling (NED) d. R Haase (NED) 3-6, 6-3, 7-5  --  I think Haase has finally been healthy long enough to determine that he's not what he was built up to be.

Babblelot -  I hadn't realised that Haase had been injured, but he is another player that can play exciting tennis when focused.  What a pity he can't seem to achieve a meaningful level of consistency.   

I like both Lacko's  & Bellucci's game too, and had expected Bellucci to win.  Lacko had a good year last year, seeming to settle down. I'll be interested to know how he does this year. Mind you, his time here could soon be up as he is playing Ferrer.

Nice to see Tommy Haas & Kohlshreiber still there.

Hasse has lost years with a variety of injuries, mostly knee. Now healthy, I think we're finding out what's between the ears and in the heart.

Haas making me proud. He's just amazing.

Bellucci is a bit of a mystery to me. I thought this guy was ready for the big stage 3 or 4 years ago but it just hasn't happened.

I'm sorry Haas is out. I like his game a lot. I'm not a Monfils fan, but well done to him for getting through a 3 setter & to get to the semi's.  I'm pleased to see Kohlshreiber still there - I like his game too.   No young hopeful in the semi finals, I see.
