so how do you go about imparting more topspin on the ball general huntingyou?

lets take the extreme case. the one of the clay warrior. do you realize why he is able to get 3500 rpms on the average on his forehand.

most of that is from some crazy natural ability. you need fast twitch fiber and you need blazig raquet head speed.

so you must naturally be able to go over the ball like that to a considerable extent if you want to hit a topspin forehand like vilas, muster, borg, or nadal.

so the average player is really doomed unless he too has the natural gifts from the gods.

that said, you can still manage a lot of topspin but you have to practice like mad.

start low and finish high. western grip is a must.

you have to think "going over the ball" all the time. think it and make it happen in the mind and then go hit a million balls against the wall.

topspin at Nadal level or even Muster it's only for those who were given the gift.  I actually use  a semi-western for forehand which gives flexibility but I used "full western" on my backhand.......allows me to aim high and hit it with abandon .   All these at the basic level of course.....

you are probably being just humble and modest.

i have a feeling that you are pretty damn good on the court. you have way above average intelligence about the sport. some of that can only come if you actually play or have played at a reasonably high level.

maybe my IQ is too damn high.  Well, I love the game that's for sure. I have more natural gift on a basketball court though. Maybe if I could get a good trainer and stick with it I could get decent.

i nearly forgot. we need to get hold of johnny groove if he is banned.

he has lots of friends here. is there anyway somebody can get in touch with him.

tell him that there is no harm in checking this place out. we are going to get plenty busy here once the slam starts.

and there are no better minds for tennis than right here. guys like brick, javi, hunting, brit box, scott, nekro, masterclass, and so many others really know their stuff.

if you have a tennis related question, you can ask them here.

Budapest is a dump.....The architecture is ok but until you find the interesting buildings you have to wade through kilometers of communist ghettos. In Hungary the mountainous areas are the best....  Hunting's also great here, many Germans and Italians come here, especially because they can shoot protected animals here for some extra money.... There's not much difference between Slovakian and Hungarian women as far as looks are concerned....
