He certainly had some nice shots in that first set, lost 6-2 to Ferrer. Seems to be fading a bit now however.

Looking increasingly like Novak, Fed, Murray, and Ferrer for the semifinals; the same four as in Sydney two years ago. Ferrer nearly won his semi against Murray, I recall. Murray played a lot better then than in the final.

But if this comes off, it will be a different pairing this time and it looks to me more and more like a Djokovic - Federer final

Remember how Hewitt forever landed in Federer's quarter of the draw? Well, unbeknownst to you, Almagro has similarly found himself in Ferrer's quarter. My turn to

rigged draw!!!

Almagro is something like 0-22 against Rafa and Ferrer. Like every slam, I saw this coming when the draw came out.

Just imagine what Nico's reaction was when news broke that Rafael was going to return to the tour in South America.. What title hope now for Nico, with Nadal joining Ferrer to deny Nico his rightful glory?
