........There always one who comes out the pack, this year it's Chardy, after all he's taken out Potty.Murray v Chardy i think will be more than 3 sets, just look @ how many winners he had.Murray always seems to find them here like Verdasco.
I respect your views too, Sid and take your point. I tend to take a broad brush approach. I expect the top players to go up a gear when it matters against the lower ranked players.  Obviously, I'm not claiming that this is tablets-of-stone stuff, just my view.  Of course much depends on a variety of nuances.  I like Chardy's game & he has clearly played well. I'm not writing him off, I just think that Murray will prevail.
As for Tsonga, I agree that he could be what you hope he will be.  No arguments there, he has beaten Federer before.  I'm hoping though, that Federer will play well & beat him.

looking forward to the Ferrer/Almagro match, coz I'm craving tennis. I didn't even realize that their h2h is 12:0, Ferrer.  Babs is probably drooling over this match  :)~.

Nole/Berdych should be fun. I'll probably have to record the match.  :(. Nole please don't give me another heart attack. Stan was enough  :))

Babble - I find your lack of faith... disturbing.

I can count the times that Tsonga maintained his focus level of play in big matches on 2 fingers.

Isn't Nole leading Berdych something like 11-1 in H2H?  So this shouldn't be a contest... :innocent:

Don't you just hate their coverage?! It's like no one exists outside of the commentators, MaSha, and all American WOMEN players (apparently the men don't count :dunno:)

Nico should walk off the court now and retire from tennis. That set was 1 DF away from perfection.

I'd agree with that. I was not aware that his serve was so strong.

A good first set. If Almagro keeps this up, he has the match. Ferrer was looking frustrated towards the end. He implodes easily when provoked.

Nico's not ahead in this match until he's up 2-0 sets and 3 breaks. I've seen this story playout before. Against Nico, Ferrer is comfortable playing from out of a hole. It's a mind game between these two and they both know it.

Nico's BH is so beautiful. just love it. as much as I like both players and I'm really neutral about this match, hoping Almagro will win.

I was going to say it, but Cahill picked up on it. That angry chirping from Ferrer is part of the mind games. Could have rattled Nico.

This match just got harder for Nico, not easier. He's never before been the favorite to beat Ferrer and here he is on the verge of his 1st grand slam SF.

I hope the moment isn't too big for him!

Ferrer played alot of tennis this year,i wonder if it's now catching up with him Alex.I can guess why you'd like Almagro to win,i'm the same with Tsonga v Fed :innocent:

not sure mate. Ferrer always tends to play too many tournaments (it hasn't affected him before because he is so fit),  but Almagro is playing some great tennis tonight. I'm so impressed with him. really enjoy this match  :)

Wow - you're worse than I am when Roger plays! :rofl_2: :rofl_2: :rofl_2:

Almagro is playing great.  Just relax.... he has one game to go.

Ferrer is going to lose. I really dont like Ferrer because he's a parasitic player !!
