Okay, it's a slow night. I'll bite. But I will preface my comments by saying that I think your post is tongue in cheek because the knuckleheads on ESPN is tripping all over themselves to wind up the hype machine around this girl and set it on its way.

That being said, I will build a shrine of solid gold in your honor if this girl has a Henin-type career. At her size, she's got to be faster and be able to win points from anywhere on the court. I'd peg her to have a Cibulkova-type career, and there's nothing wrong with that. Cibulkova is a solid, Top 20 player. And if she's better than Cibulkova, her max is Kerber.

By contrast, Henin was winning slams and ranked #1 in the heyday of women's tennis against the likes of Serena, Venus, Kim, Maria and the Russians, and Capriati. Even against today's crap crop of crap, this girl won't standout.

EDIT: In fact, I know she won't amount to diddly-poo: she's not even on Chris's list of girls to watch.

Okay, that's a legitimate prediction. I like the 5'11" lefty Laura Robson best of the 4. This could be interesting. I think Robson has a very bright future.

Brad Gilbert is predicting 17 y/o American Madison Keys to reach the Top 20 this year and win majors down the road. I've never seen this girl play.

Laura is #2 on my favorite list. She is obviously going to be top 10 first and I predict she and Ash will have many epic battles.

Haven't seen much, but aside from a huge kick-serve, nothing special. Good pop from both wings but inconsistent.

Dellaqua looks like she's been hanging out with Sam Stosur. She's never looked better.

W.T.F. is Gilbert watching. Keys has absolutely no range moving to either side, and it's not because she's slow. If the ball isn't withing a few feet from her body, the probability of her making a shot is about 15%.

Listen to Pam rave about her. I swear, I've got a better eye for talent that Gilbert and Shriver.

This girl won't go far, she's too technically flawed. I don't care that she's only 17. She has time to develop yada yada...nonsense. She's just a mess. And she doesn't have the mindset of a champion to overcome her flaws. She's just out there "see ball, hit ball."

Only Gilbert and Shriver are bigger jokes than Keys.
