Robson clearly had the jitters in the beginning, being down 0-4 at one point. She did well to pull back, and put up a good match. Stevens outplayed her & deserved the win.
Both Robson & Watson did well to get this far.
Hampton played very well against Azarenka, but eased off due to a back injury, I think. I saw some of this match. She had VA worried. And I'm unimpressed with VA's comments in the court side interview - to the effect that JH wasn't really injured. Graceless.
S. Williams has had no effective competition thus far & her results are no surprise.
I was sorry to see Vinci go out.
