S.Williams & Azarenka both look unassailable. VA has some experience of a good challenge, but SW may as well have played an empty court on the other side thus far.

Well done to Stephens, for getting to the QF against the odds.  And it's nice to see Kuznetsova through too.

Williams / Azarenka seem on course for the SF.

Results for the 21st January:

S. Williams bt  Kirilenko 62,60
Stephens bt Jovanovski  61,36,76
Azarenka bt Vesnina 61,61
Kuznetsova bt Wozniacki  62, 26,75

Order of play for the 22nd January:

OK, I have to troll a bit here. Women are on my way. I want to watch Ferrer/Almagro and Nole/Berdych. women should have their own slams ...

well at least, Radwanska and Li are not screaming  ..-) but still I'm forced to watch women, just not fair  :)~

Good to see her playing well. I don't like Radwanska but I assumed she would win.

I don't like Radwanska either, so I'm glad she lost as well.

Li Na played really well. I thought, with my little knowledge of the WTA tour, that Radwanska would take this for sure. the thing with women is, you never know... the only sure thing is Serena

Na Li played well - I saw her take the first set with conviction after pulling it back having been broken.
Sharapova hasn't dropped a set here yet.

Results for the 22nd January QF :

Na Li bt A.Radwanska 75,63
Sharapova  Bt  Makarova 62,62

My pair Vinci / Erranni  bt S & V Wiliams in the doubles!    I hope they can go on to take the title.

Schedule of play for the 23rd January:

http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/scores/schedule/index.html

Kuznetsova is playing beautifully - up 4- 2 and serving.  Mind you, this means nothing yet - the day is young!   :)

As for the other QF - I hope Stephens can forget who she's playing & give it all she can!

Edit:  And never in doubt!  Azarenka breaks back!    I do like SK's game though.

I just had to go through this agony watching the Sveta/Azarenka match. Could someone please put some duck tape on Azarenka's mouth? can't stand it.  ..-). I used some duck tape for my ears, but it didn't work out . I officially hate Screamarenka  :insane: and this was my last attempt to watch women playing tennis  :)>>>>

Serena isn't at 100% healthy so who knows what's going to happen in this match?
